ABC LAND CLOSED FRIDAY 1/21/22

Dear Parents,

Unfortunately, this morning we have been notified of a 2nd covid case at our school. The school will be closed today, Friday 1/21/22 and reopen on Monday, 1/24/22. One of our students in the Two-Year-Old-Room has been diagnosed with Covid and will quarantine at home till 1/31/22. All other students and staff will need a negative covid test to return to school on Monday, 1/24/22.

Because of our Covid Protective Protocols, there is no need to panic. As you know, we keep a very clean facility. The teachers disinfect the tables, chairs, and common areas as well as the bathrooms during each day. Children’s hands are washed and sanitized multiple times during the day and every evening, our property manager cleans and disinfects the entire facility. Tonight, we will complete an even deeper cleaning with a disinfectant/sterilizer that is safe for children.
Our students wear masks during the day except for outside play, meals and nap time. Staff wear masks at all times. Also, except for the period they spend outside and at pick up time, each classroom is a standalone environment by age. We believe that this precaution limits exposure to each other thereby restricting the spread of germs among different classrooms.
Although not mandatory, we recommend that concerned parents of students in the nonaffected rooms, take a Covid test for peace of mind. It has always been our policy to err toward the side of caution and we assure all families that our health and safety protocols remain in place for the benefit our community. We know how inconvenient these procedures can be for parents, but we cannot grow weary. It is only through this vigilance that we may continue to deliver the care and education you’ve come to expect. Thank you for your support and patience and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions and concerns.
PLEASE CONFIRM RECEIPT OF THIS EMAIL.
Respectfully, Frank, Janice, and the Staff
